Did you know that polluters are actually allowed to contaminate your drinking water?

The Supreme Court and the Bush Administration have recently sided with polluters to strip vital protections from the Clean Water Act. That means that pollutants like E-Coli, bacteria, mercury, PCBs and dioxin could be contaminating the drinking water of more than 110 million Americans.

Congress will hold hearings in the coming weeks on the Clean Water Restoration Act, which would restore the Clean Water Act's original protections to all bodies of water. Even a handful more co-sponsors would build the momentum we need get to winning votes of 218 in the House and 60 in the Senate.

Will you contact Congress and ask them to support this critical legislation?

Click here to contact your Members of Congress and ask them to support the Clean Water Restoration Act.

Developers and corporate polluters want to keep dumping contaminants linked to cancer, birth defects and other health problems into our water, because dealing with chemical waste, oil spills, and other pollution would cut into their profit margin.

Congress has a choice between standing with polluters or standing up for the health and well-being of millions of Americans. No doubt they will be hearing from polluters - they need to hear from constituents as well.

Don't wait until it's too late - the Senate hearing on clean water is on April 9 and the hearing in the House is on April 16. Ask your Members of Congress to support the Clean Water Restoration Act TODAY.

Tens of thousands of LCV supporters have already contacted their Members of Congress to demand an end to this reckless contamination. Please add your voice today.

This most obscene cake, with chocolate fudge and french vanilla cake and real strawberries was served at my cousins birthday partay. The cake itself I couldn't get a shot of as forty people crowded it. Here be-eth the aftermath:

Shortly after this shot was taken, the baby snuck up onto the table with a fork in each hand and had at it. Little shit.

So every night I am wide awake until the first few seconds of Inuyasha at one am. knock me out. Cold. But then tonight, as I await sweet Morpheus' nightmare room, BAM! Full Metal Alchemist!
How am I supposed to sleep when Full Metal Alchemist is on?
I don't know whether to be angry or really really really happy...

BTW Thunderball, in August Bleach switches over to Blood+ and Full Metal switches over to Bebop. Happy fun time for all.

Yeh, so I've stuff to write and say here. But not right now.
Therefore I leaveth you with this recent happenstance:

About half an hour ago whilst driving through Harold Parker's (state forest, respite of both the Blue-Spotted salamander and the Blue Spotted-Salamander, both assuredly endangered), me Da rescued a ginormigantic snapping turtle from certain death. It was in the middle of the road on the opposite side of us, wanting to cross back over to our side where the water was. However, in order to do so it would have to try and take down every car it saw, and there were quite a few as many use that road to cut through on their way home from werk.
It was a few feet across and weighed quite a bit. We had a better vantage point on our side of the road (no hill), so we saw it coming up and pulled off the road and got out. Dad heroically jumped into action. He flagged down the Element that was about to tear through the reptile like tissue paper. Then he grabbed it from behind and ran it awkwardly across to the water several dozen yards thattaway. It was awsome, and one of the funniest things I have ever seen ever. It was all angry and hissing and flailing its giant claws and giant spiny tail. It had the best look on its head, like a dinosaur. It was spitting and hissing, so dad goes "OH YEAH?" and he was spitting and hissing back, so the two of them were hissing and spitting together like mad. It was so great.
He put it down at the bank so I could get a nice close look at it before it flew down into the water to glare at us spitefully from the murky depths. Right now, it's probably trying to cross the road again. We figured it had gone up to the bank a bit (there was a trail and he was plastered with dirt, moss and a zillion pine needles by the time we got to him), but found it too steep and fruitless so he either fell down it into the road or just backed down into the road. If I know anything about tortoises (torti?) and turtle kind, they be a stubborn and persistent lot.
Figure all of this goes down the one time I haven't the camera on me. Damn! I would pay a large sum for an image of that right now.

They've not been home more than 14 hours and it's been utter chaos.

This is their fault, they made these plans, they can deal with the consequences. Just when I need to move about the house and you've covered it with MR Clean (and now I'm covered in a bloody rash), you aren't really helping are you.

My favorite part so far was when I needed to get something in another room to clean the room I'm in now, and I had to cross a wet mr. cleaned floor she tells me to take my shoes off. "But mom, I'm allergic." "Just take your shoes off." 'Cause you see, in crazy land, floor cleanliness trumps terrible allergic reactions in daughter any day.
